Unite 1,200+ enterprise leaders across three venues

Google Cloud brought their flagship annual summit to Singapore with an ambitious goal: unite over 1,200 enterprise IT leaders across three simultaneous venues with seamless content delivery, live interaction, and broadcast-grade production quality — all while streaming the keynote programme to a global audience on YouTube Live.

Hybrid conferences of this scale leave no room for "we'll fix it in post." Every keynote, panel, and Q&A had to be flawless on first run, in three rooms, in front of senior decision-makers.

Three venues, one production standard

The technical brief broke into four interlocking problems we had to solve simultaneously:

  • Synchronised content feeds across three independent venues — keynote video, presentation slides, and pre-recorded inserts had to play in lock-step where required, and run independently where each venue had its own programming.
  • Multi-camera broadcast streaming — three camera angles per venue, switched live and pushed to YouTube Live with low latency and zero buffering for an audience that included Google Cloud customers around the world.
  • Real-time audience Q&A — both in-room mic handoff and remote audience question intake, blended into the broadcast feed without dead air or accidental hot mics.
  • Flawless wireless mic management — twelve channels of wireless across three rooms, with frequent speaker handoffs between keynotes, panels, and breakouts. Any RF interference would be visible on a global livestream.

Three coordinated production rigs, one technical director

We built each venue as an independent broadcast environment, then unified them under a single technical director who could see and control all three rooms simultaneously. The three rigs were standardised so that crew rotation, equipment redundancy, and content cuing were identical regardless of which room you were standing in.

RF was coordinated across all three venues from a single frequency-management plan to eliminate cross-venue mic interference. Audio mixing was handled on Midas digital consoles with full scene recall — every keynote, panel, and break transition pre-programmed and rehearsed. Lighting cues for 200+ intelligent fixtures were sequenced on MA Lighting consoles and triggered on cue with the audio mix.

Streaming infrastructure was built with redundant encoders and a backup bonded-cellular path for the YouTube Live push, so a single hotel-internet hiccup couldn't take the global feed down.

"Zero technical failures over three days, three venues, twelve sessions per day — that's the brief, and that's what we delivered."

Production equipment across all three venues

Industry-standard gear from our preferred brand partners, chosen for reliability under broadcast conditions.

4× Barco 4K Projectors

High-brightness projection across the three venues for keynote slides, video inserts, and live camera feeds.

12× Shure Wireless Mics

Coordinated across all three rooms on a single frequency-management plan — zero RF dropouts.

Midas Digital Consoles

One per venue, with full scene recall pre-programmed for every session and transition.

Bose Line Arrays

Even, intelligible coverage across each venue — front-row to back-row at consistent SPL.

MA Lighting Consoles

200+ intelligent lighting fixtures choreographed to the run-of-show, triggered by lighting techs on cue.

Multi-Camera + YouTube Live

3 camera angles per venue, live switching, redundant encoder push to YouTube Live with bonded-cellular backup.

Zero failures. Three days. Global audience.

Zero technical failures across the entire three-day programme. Every keynote ran on time, every microphone handoff was clean, every camera cut hit on cue, and the YouTube Live stream maintained over 8,000 concurrent viewers at peak with no buffering complaints.

Attendees in all three venues reported an immersive, professional experience — the kind of production polish that makes large hybrid conferences disappear into the background and let the content speak. Google Cloud's regional team has continued to engage AVL Services for subsequent Singapore productions.

For us, this project remains a benchmark for what disciplined multi-venue conference production looks like in Singapore: standardise the rigs, coordinate the RF, pre-programme the cues, and put one experienced TD in charge of the whole show.
